The province is constantly looking for businesses that support the economic growth and innovation within the province. The Entrepreneur class immigration is a permanent residency pathway. Candidates selected via the program can temporarily live and work in the province, later transitioning to Canada PR upon successfully establishing their business.

Who can apply for the EI Regional Stream?
The EI Regional Stream is particularly for entrepreneurs who wish to set up a business in the regional areas of British Columbia. The program will focus on promoting the province's economic development and growth. Communities will actively participate in the businesses of their choice via the program. Selected candidates must ensure they visit the community and maintain contact to facilitate business establishment. As the next step, entrepreneurs will receive a community referral to register and apply for the EI Regional Stream.
Entrepreneurs must also fulfill other eligibility criteria that are listed below to apply for the program:
- Set up a new business that aligns with the priorities of the community
- Submit proof that exhibits experience in business management
- Have a net worth of over CAD 300,000
- Make a business investment of a minimum of $100,000
- Create full-time employment for a PR holder or a citizen of Canada
- Have a language proficiency of CLB level 4
- Must have or be eligible for legal Canadian immigration status
- Must be a lawful citizen of their country of origin
