The cabinet decision spells out the Residence Visa rules for different categories such as -
- New employment
- Residence Visa for wife
- Children under 18 years
- Student Residence Visa
- Newborn baby
- Housemaid
The widowed, divorced women and their children too can avail of this Residence Visa, as quoted by Khaleej Times. However, the death of their husband or the divorce must have taken place after they received the Sponsorship. The Visa must be valid while they submit a request to extend it. The authority charges Dh100 to extend the Residence Visa. The following documents are mandatory -
- Proof of income
- Place of residence
- Medical check-up certificates
- Health insurance card
