Immigration Healthcare Surcharge
The IHS fee for a Skilled Worker Visa is based on the duration of the visa and is not dependent on the start or end date of the work start and end date as presented in the Certificate of Sponsorship.
Candidates are required to pay an Immigration Healthcare Surcharge of £1,035 annually. This allows the candidate to access free healthcare services in the country.
Proof of sufficient funds
The candidate must provide evidence of sufficient funding with a minimum of £1,270 to indicate they can support themselves during their stay in the UK. They must have the funds for 28 consecutive days out of 31 days to apply for the visa.
The candidates must provide proof of sufficient funds unless they:
- Have lived in the country for a minimum of 12 months with a valid visa
- Have an employer in the country to cover the candidate’s expenses of £1,270 for the 1st month in the UK
If the employer intends to support the candidate, this must be listed in the Certificate of Sponsorship.
