New H-1B FY27 Rule Imposes $100,000 Fee on Select High-Skilled Jobs
The Department of Homeland Security has updated the existing rules for the FY 2027 cap season. According to the revised policies, if total registrations exceed the annual cap, USCIS will conduct a unique-weighted selection round. However, if total registrations do not exceed the yearly cap, all registrations will be considered.
Additionally, an extra $100,000 fee will be charged to employers with selected registrations before filing an application based on USCIS’s Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers issued earlier on September 19, 2025.
