Finland work permits for Specialists
The processing time has been reduced for foreign skilled workers demonstrating special expertise in their field. Finland work visas will be processed within 9 days on an average.
Foreign workers with higher educational qualifications or who earn a minimum of €3,600 per month would be eligible for faster work visa processing. This move aims to address the country's current workforce shortage and facilitate easy immigration for highly educated and skilled foreign workers.

Processing time reduced for other applicants
The Finnish Government aims to reduce visa processing times for all work-based residence permit applicants. Candidates applying for a Finland work-based residence permit for the first time can expect a positive decision within 23 days instead of the previous 55 days. Rejected work-based visa applications will be notified within 87 days on average instead of the earlier 125 days.
The processing time for Finland study permit applications for first-time resident permit applicants has also been reduced to 8 days instead of 36 days. The Government is also planning to reduce the processing time for asylum seekers.
