Croatia work permits in H1 2024
According to Schengen news reports, Croatia issued 143,000+ work permits in the H1 of 2024. The recent 2023 EURES report also revealed that the country has huge job vacancies across 30+ occupations.
Vesna Vučemilović, a member of the Croatian Parliament, stated that the country issued around 400,000 permits to foreigners in the last four years.

Croatia plans to extend the validity of work and resident permits to three years from the current validity of one year. The country is trying to facilitate the process of changing employers to retain skilled foreign workers.
