Step 3: Submit the visa application form

Step 4: Wait for a visa decision
The Australian Immigration Department will issue a visa grant number, start date, and other details if your visa is approved. In case of a denial, you will receive reasons that led to the same and be allowed to review your decision.
Step 5: Fly to Australia
Once your transit visa is approved, you can fly to Australia to transit to the destination country. However, you cannot leave the airport premises on this visa or stay longer than 72 hours.
