Australia’s new Skills In Demand Visa
The Department of Home Affairs in Australia has recently replaced the Temporary Skills Shortage Visa with the new Skills in Demand (SID) Visa on December 07, 2024. The new visa program consists of three streams, including:
- Specialist Skills Pathway
- Essential Skills Pathway
- Core Skills Pathway
The Core Skills Pathway aims to invite foreign workers associated with professions listed under the New Core Skills Occupation List. The minimum salary requirement for this pathway is AUD 70,000-AUD 135,000. Ineligible applicants under this pathway can be sponsored under the Specialist Skills Pathway if they earn above AUD 135,000.
