Malta Residence Permits issued in 2024
The Minister of Malta’s Home Affairs recently revealed that the country issued a total of 33,455 residence permits in 2024. Residence permits were issued under various programmes including Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP), Malta Residency and Visa Programme (MRVP) and the Nomad Visa Scheme in Malta.
A total of 1500 applications were received under the MPRP, generating around €46 million for the Consolidated Fund, €36 million in the purchase of properties and €50 million in the five-year lease contracts. Around 1031 applications were filed under the Nomad Residence Program in Malta.
